Installation Tips & Fasteners by Size

4-inch Cleat

  • Use Num. 10 Oval Head Sheet Metal Screws or 10-24 Oval Head Machine Screws
  • Use Forstner Bits
  • Cut large holes 3/4 inch and small holes 1/2 inch
  • Use sabre saw or router to cut between the holes

    • 6-inch Cleat

  • Use Num. 14 Oval Head Sheet Metal Screws or 1/4-20 Oval Head Machine Screws
  • Use Forstner Bits
  • Cut large holes 7/8 inch and small holes 1/2 inch
  • Use sabre saw or router to cut between the holes

    • 8-inch Cleat

  • Use Num. 14 Oval Head Sheet Metal Screws or 1/4-20 Oval Head Machine Screws
  • Use Forstner Bits
  • Cut large holes 1-1/8 inch and small holes 3/4 inch
  • Use sabre saw or router to cut between the holes

    • 10-inch Cleat

  • Use Num. 14 Oval Head Sheet Metal Screws or 1/4-20 Oval Head Machine Screws
  • Use Forstner Bits
  • Cut large holes 1-3/4 inch and small holes 3/4 inch
  • Use sabre saw or router to cut between the holes

    • 10-inch HD Cleat

  • Use 3/8 inch Oval Head Machine Screws
  • Use Forstner Bits
  • Cut large holes 1-3/4 inch and small holes 3/4 inch
  • Use sabre saw or router to cut between the holes
